The mission of the Third Judicial District Attorney's Office is to improve the criminal justice system by prosecuting criminal activity occuring in Dona Ana County with the objective of securing justice in each case. Our mission is accomplished by utilizing all available community resources and data available to the agency in an effort to seek justice in reviewing prosecution of criminal cases.
The Third Judicial District Attorney's Office is able to accomplish this mission because of the hard work and diligence provided by dedicated staff, local law enforcement officials, social service agencies, community service providers, state lawmakers and the responsible citizens of Dona Ana County.
Effective Prosecution
The Third Judicial District Attorney's Office screened over 7000 criminal cases in 2007. Of these 7000 cases that were reviewed, nearly 5000 were approved for prosecution.
Our organization recognizes the need to prosecute a case with strong and thorough conclusive evidence that results in a conviction. This will ensure that we are doing our best to provide safety in our community and securing justice in each case. Thank you for your continued support.
